I just finished making a nifty little chrome extension that you can use to quickly see who’s sharing public google plus hangouts and you can schedule and share your own hangout. After you make or choose a hangout you can launch the Hangout right from the extension!
The project is brand new and needs people to work, so the more people see this the more useful the extension will be.
If you don’t use Chrome or don’t really like the idea of an extension I made a website counter part to this extension that has all the same features.
Overall the final project will have native api integration with Google Plus once Google opens up the apis. For now its using 3rd party apis to get the users picture/information.
The final version will also have a “jump in random hangout” option. Sort of a “Hangout roulette” It’ll be a lot of fun.

It’s not even a day old, so it obviously has to get some users before it starts being useful yet. But if you like the idea, download it! Share it! Be brave and one of the first to start a hangout using it! Once more people see hangouts more will step up and make some, and soon it’ll be the best way to find google plus hangouts!
